Shiina Kiriko (GLASS-LAB)
Edo Kiriko glass crafted by three generations of craftsmen in Kiyosumi Shirakawa
We manufacture our products in a precious factory where old-fashioned grinding machines are still in operation, unchanged since the company was founded. GLASS-LAB's craftsmen have unparalleled skills and can draw thin lines of just 0.09 mm with sand cut glass. It is said that there are only 10 flat cut glass craftsmen in the entire country.
Unprecedented design
Edo Kiriko is generally made with traditional patterns cut into it, but by combining the techniques of Hirakiriko (flat grinding) and Sunakiriko (sandblasting), a new style of Edo Kiriko was born.
A cutting glass that makes the pattern emerge
The bottom of the cup has a pattern created using sand cut glass. When you pour sake into the cup, the pattern on the bottom is reflected on the side. You can enjoy the design whether you are using it or not.
