Triangular barrel glass pen
Glass pens are a popular type of glass craft. Many of them have a smooth, curvaceous, streamlined shape that is appealing. The first thing that TSUCHI-YA focused on was how easy it was to hold. The triangular barrel, which is also used in writing implements such as pencils, is an easy-to-hold shape. To achieve this with glass pens, we chose the triangular glass barrel used in thermometers and scientific experiments as the material.
Glass pens are popular for their colorful and decorative designs, but TSICHI-YA aimed for a modern design that takes advantage of the transparency of glass. They also paid particular attention to the cuts cultivated in Edo Kiriko. The "borosilicate glass" used in glass pens is a material that is not used in Kiriko because it is hard and difficult to process. This difficult task was overcome brilliantly with the masterful skills of our artisans.
A glass pen that aims to strike the perfect balance between ease of use as a writing instrument and a design that makes the most of the appeal of the material. Kiriko cuts shine on the simple triangular barrel. It is recommended not only for those looking for their first pen, but also for those who are already immersed in ink. Write in your diary the small joys you found that day, or write letters with thoughts that you normally wouldn't say out loud. With fewer opportunities to "write," you can make your special time even more fulfilling with a glass pen.
