Glass like pottery exhibition

For a limited time only, from February 1st (Wed) to March 6th (Mon),
We are currently holding a special exhibition by glass artist Yuichi Yamazaki called "Glass like Ceramics."

"Yuichi Yamazaki"
@yamazaki_glass
Since starting freelance work in 2017, she has participated in solo and group exhibitions across Japan. She designs vessels that people would want to use every day in their own homes, and creates them using a technique called free-blowing.

The round shape,
Soft texture like ceramic.
Yamazaki's vases are a joy to look at and touch.

In glassblowing, colored glass is applied to the surface of the glass.
Some pieces have as many as three layers of colored glass.
The distinctive pattern was hand-drawn with glue.
This is achieved by applying a sandblasting process on top of it.
The rough texture is somewhat reminiscent of pottery.

The image above is from the checkered pattern ami-ami series.
