The Asakusa Kappabashi main store will be holding a "Flowers and Glass Exhibition."
Glass studio "gla_gla" in Hokkaido
Special feature on flower vases by Takatomi Daisuke.
This is the second gla_gla exhibition at TSUCHI-YA.
A glass vase that makes wildflowers look beautiful
The appeal of Takatomi's works lies in their high transparency and free-form shapes.
The vases in particular all have unique shapes, like living things.
There are beautiful flowers for sale, of course,
Even the weeds growing by the roadside look lively and fresh, making the room look lively.
That's what I noticed about this project.
Admire the weeds while taking a walk

It's the season when weeds grow vigorously even on ordinary roads.
Since I started this project, I have come to love these plants and flowers.
I always end up taking a detour and "losing around."
A stroll while keeping an eye on the roadside
It feels like a treasure hunt.

At this time of year, buttercups can be seen everywhere.
A small face pops out from a gap in the asphalt.
It's fun to walk around and change routes until you find it.

Oxalis catalpa, which has small purple flowers.
Even the weeds on the roadside that are usually out of sight,
In fact, the flowers were blooming in beautiful colors.
Arranging picked flowers in a vase
In this special exhibition,
The cute flowers that the staff found are arranged in a vase by Takatomi Daisuke.

Nezumimochi has plump white buds.
When I left it in a vase the buds opened and flowers bloomed.
It's a staff favorite.

Fern leaves add an accent.
If you collect leaves of your favorite shape along with flowers,
Your home is like a small botanical garden.
When I looked into all of them,
They are treated as a nuisance that requires a lot of effort to eradicate.
But if you treat them as objects of admiration,
Strangely, you will begin to feel attached to it.

The special exhibition will start on Saturday, May 13th.
The "Flowers and Glass Exhibition" is
The event is scheduled to run for two weeks starting Saturday, May 13th.
A variety of flower vases produced in the northern land.
Even if you don't usually decorate with flowers,
Why not get a vase and brighten up your room?
Of course, if you already love flowers, this is a must-see.
