Crystal Glass | Kiriko, Sagging (Kiln Work)
Established in 1908, the techniques are now carried on by third-generation Yoshiro Kobayashi and fourth-generation Kohei Kobayashi. They produce intricate and luxurious all-over patterned works, as well as jewelry and pieces made from glass blanks using their original "sagging kiriko" technique. Kobayashi Glass Art is one of the "Edo Kiriko" workshops that has been operating for nearly 100 years. The workshop is currently run by third-generation Yoshiro Kobayashi and fourth-generation Kohei Kobayashi, and this glass was made by third-generation Yoshiro. Yoshiro Kobayashi is a prominent figure in Japanese "Edo Kiriko," having won awards at the "Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition" hosted by the Japan Kōgei Association, and had his works selected as gifts for former Russian President Gorbachev.

Normally, it will be presented in its original Paulownia wood box. If you wish to have a Noshi (gift wrap) included, it will be an inner Noshi and the item will be wrapped in wrapping paper before shipping.
