Born in Saitama in 1985. After working for nine years at the Niijima Glass Art Center from 2009, Komiya began his artistic career in Toyama Prefecture in 2017. He creates works inspired by everyday vessels and elements he perceives from natural forms and phenomena. He values the pleasant tactile sensation and visual beauty of his pieces.
