The unique texture, unlike that of glass, is created by applying silver overglaze to the surface and firing it. The glowing gold on the inside is the result of a chemical reaction of silver. By exquisitely adjusting the firing time, the silver, which would normally turn black when heated, is finished at the precise moment it turns gold. The silver overglaze will age gradually over time, allowing you to enjoy a rare aging process for glass.
