Misty white and translucent gray

We received 8 vases in advance from Mr. Koniya's exhibition.

Takashi Koniya Glass Exhibition
April 10 (Fri) - April 19 (Sun) 11:00-19:00
TSUCHI-YA Ginza Store

I selected these pieces imagining sizes that would be easy to use at home and shapes that would harmonize when combined. Seeing them in person, not only is their beauty striking, but my heart also leaps at the thought of the various ways they can be used.

This time, only the white series has been produced. Although white and grey are achromatic colors, there are subtle hints of beige and blue. The overlapping color expressions, combined with glass's unique transparency, add depth to the material.

Whether displayed individually or in combination, these vases possess a striking presence. Their swelling and gracefully extending forms embody the softness and clarity of glass. Simply by existing, they create a space reminiscent of a still life painting. Art enthusiasts might even envision specific artworks.

In addition to vases, sake cups, glasses, and plates will also be on display. I can easily imagine various scenarios for using these items—what drinks to pour, what dishes to serve. We invite you to view these gentle white vessels, reminiscent of a cloudy spring sky, at your leisure.
