The stars are really beautiful where I live, and when I went out into the garden on the night of a meteor shower, I saw so many shooting stars it felt like I could hear them. While there wasn't actually any sound, the impression of a shimmering sound has stayed with me.

Makiko Yoda's "Bubble Silver Glaze" series features a glass-like transparency adorned with bubbles and delicate silver glazes. These pieces are specially made for our store. This year, the material has been changed to crystal glass, making them even more brilliant.

A popular item every summer is the "Mosquito Coil Holder," which can be used in three ways. It comes with a brass rod and a string. First, as its name suggests, it can be used as a mosquito coil holder to hang mosquito coils. The spiraling shape of the mosquito coil, when placed inside the transparent holder, takes on an artistic appearance, like an object.

The second use is to remove the brass rod and use it as a flower vase. The curled ends act as an accent, allowing you to beautifully display even voluminous flowers in a balanced way.

And for the third use, you can attach the included string to both ends and hang it. If you display flowers by a sunlit window, the silver glaze and crystal glass will sparkle as they catch the light. Your usual flowers and vases will look fresh from a different perspective.

Since the material changed to crystal glass, this year we also requested the creation of a thick-bottomed glass and a round single-flower vase. The thick bottom part shines even brighter, with delicate silver coloring the glass.

Yoda-san is also a staff member at our store. When you pick up her pieces, you'll notice how beautifully polished the back is. It's a time-consuming polishing process, but it shows Yoda-san's thoughtful consideration for the user.
And they are easy for anyone to use and blend well with your existing tableware. Knowing her personally, I also feel that the soft familiarity of her works is very much like Yoda-san herself.
