Many customers come to our store looking for heat-resistant glass. TSUCHI-YA is always searching for new artists and products, but not many create with heat-resistant glass. Today, we introduce Kosei Aoki from Fukuoka Prefecture. Aoki's vessels are characterized not only by their functionality but also by their detailed crack patterns that are visually appealing, and their warm, soft glass forms.

Aoki-san created fantastical glass vessels by combining different types of glass, resulting in changing crack patterns. When soft glass is trapped by hard glass and cooled, snowflake-like patterns appear in the soft glass layer. These patterns multiply with continued use. The sparkle from sunlight or indirect lighting provides a soothing effect.
