From July 1st (Saturday),
The Asakusa Kappabashi main store will be holding a "Summer Edo Kiriko Exhibition."
TSUCHI-YA will hold special exhibitions four times a year showcasing the world of Kiriko, which is popular overseas and difficult to obtain.
This summer we will be introducing the Edo Kiriko Workshop, which will be exhibiting for the first time in our store.

First time being sold at a glass specialty store!
~ Shinozaki Glass Crafts ~

This will be the first time it is shown at TSUCHI-YA.

In addition to the classic golden red, there are also blue, green, and golden yellow colors.

Shinozaki Glass Crafts was founded in 1957 in Koto Ward, Tokyo.
Hideaki Shinozaki, the second generation owner of the workshop,
In 2002, he became a traditional craftsman in Tokyo.
Following on from his predecessor, Mr. Seiichi, this is the second generation of his son to be certified.
This was a first for the Edo Kiriko category.
He currently serves as the representative of the Edo Kiriko Cooperative, which brings together Edo Kiriko artisans and workshops.

A design that combines traditional patterns

Traditional patterns are combined in one glass.
One of the attractions is the unique and complex design.
The design in the photo, "Hemp leaf roll",
A unique design inspired by Yuzen kimono.
The diagonal colored stripes serve as the borders.
A mix of the traditional patterns of "Asanoha" and "Square Basket Weave".
It features an asymmetry that gives a different impression depending on the angle.
