Established in 1908, the studio's techniques are now carried on by the third-generation craftsman Yoshio and fourth-generation Kohei. They produce intricate and lavish full-patterned works, as well as jewelry, and create glass blanks using their original "sagging kiriko" technique. Kobayashi Glass Craft Studio is one of the "Edo Kiriko" workshops that has been in operation for nearly 100 years. The third-generation craftsman, Yoshio Kobayashi, and the fourth-generation, Kohei Kobayashi, currently manage the studio, and this glass was made by the third-generation Yoshio. Yoshio has been recognized for his achievements in Japanese "Edo Kiriko," having received awards at the "Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition" organized by the Japan Crafts Council, and having his works selected as gifts for former Russian President Gorbachev.

Normally, it will be delivered in its original paulownia wood box. If you prefer a noshi, it will be an inner noshi wrapped in gift paper for shipping.
