A fiery man rocks!
Mr. Takatomi runs a glass workshop and cafe on a small hill in Tsukiyama, by Lake Toya, a place rich in nature. The transparency of his glass and the whiteness of its highlights are said to stem from a secret in his glass formulation. At TSUCHI-YA, we carry a wide variety of his glass items each season, including rock glasses, shot glasses, plates, vases, flower frogs, and chopstick rests – it would be harder to find a category he doesn't produce.

Takatomi creates colorless, transparent free-blown glass starting from a title. He has many professional fans, including restaurants and chefs, both Japanese and Western. He also produces lighting, architectural materials, and installations. His studio is in Lake Toya, Hokkaido.
