Kobayashi Glass Art Studio | Tokyo Crystal Glass | Kiriko, Sagging (Kiln Work)
The studio was founded in 1908, and today the techniques are carried on by the third-generation artisan, Yoshiro, and the fourth-generation artisan, Kohei. They create intricate and opulent all-over pattern designs, jewelry, and even produce glass blanks using their original "sagging kiriko" technique. Kobayashi Glass Art Studio is one of the "Edo Kiriko" studios that has been in operation for nearly 100 years. The third-generation artisan, Yoshiro Kobayashi, and the fourth-generation artisan, Kohei Kobayashi, currently run the studio, and this glass was made by the third-generation Yoshiro. Yoshiro has been recognized for his work in Japanese "Edo Kiriko," including winning awards at the "Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition" organized by the Japan Crafts Council, and having his works chosen as gifts for former Russian President Gorbachev.

The product is usually delivered in its original paulownia wood box. If you request a noshi, it will be an uchi-noshi and the product will be wrapped in wrapping paper before shipping.
