The unique texture, unlike glass, is achieved by applying silver glaze to the surface and firing it. The gleaming gold on the inside is the result of a chemical reaction with silver. By precisely adjusting the firing time, we are able to finish the silver, which would normally turn black when heated, at the exact moment it turns gold. The silver glaze will gradually change over time, allowing you to enjoy an aging process rarely seen in glass.
