These sake cups from "Glass Studio Saiho" reveal a myriad of expressions depending on the angle and direction from which they are viewed. The design features "Shiho Hishi" (four rhombus flowers), a motif created by combining four "Hanabishi" (rhombus flowers) crests, which are used in Japanese family crests. This "Shiho Hishi" is distinctive for its ornamentation, combined with "Shippo" (seven treasures), one of the representative patterns of "Edo Kiriko" (cut glass). The refraction of light becomes even more intricate. Pouring a beverage while gazing directly down into the rim creates a fantastical impression. The color is "Kin-Aka" (golden red), a classic Edo Kiriko hue. The same pattern and shape are also available in "Ruri" (lapis lazuli), allowing for enjoyment as a pair. They are also recommended as special gifts for occasions such as silver anniversaries or wedding celebrations.
