Kobayashi Glass Art | Tokyo Crystal Glass | Kiriko, Sagging (Kiln Work)

Starting in 1908, the techniques have been passed down to the current 3rd generation, Mr. Yoshio, and 4th generation, Mr. Kohei. They create intricate and lavish all-over patterns, as well as jewelry, and also produce glass pieces from scratch using their original "Sagging Kiriko" technique. Kobayashi Glass Art is one of the "Edo Kiriko" studios that has been in operation for nearly 100 years. Yoshio Kobayashi, the 3rd generation, and Kohei Kobayashi, the 4th generation, currently manage the studio, and this glass was made by Yoshio, the 3rd generation. Yoshio is an active figure in Japanese "Edo Kiriko," having received awards at the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition hosted by the Japan Kōgei Association, and his works have been selected as gifts for former Russian President Gorbachev.

It normally comes in an original paulownia box.
If you would like a noshi, it will be an uchi-noshi and wrapped in wrapping paper for shipping.
