We recommend using it with a "kamasiki" (kettle stand) to protect your table.

Leaving water or hot water inside can cause rust. Once the water boils, either use it all or transfer it to another container, remove the lid, and allow the inside to dry. Also, avoid touching the inside of the iron kettle, scrubbing it, or washing it with detergent.
