The unique texture, unlike glass, is achieved by applying silver glaze to the surface and firing it. The gleaming gold on the inside is silver chemically reacted to create the color. By exquisitely adjusting the firing time, the silver, which would normally turn black when heated, is finished at the precise moment it turns gold. The silver-glazed parts will gradually change over time, allowing you to enjoy an aging process that is rare for glass.
